On April 21 the Center for the Arts at Kayenta was the setting for eleven storytellers who took to the stage for the fourth sold-out performance of Coyote Tales. This event was a departure from our regular open-mic storytelling format, most notably because storytellers were invited beforehand, instead of being chosen that night from audience members who put their name in the hat in the hopes of getting on stage. Additionally, we asked the audience to vote for their favorite tale of the evening through an online voting system. For each vote, a donation was made to the Kayenta Arts Foundation. Matt Clark’s touching story was the evening’s top earner. Of course it goes without saying that every teller was an audience favorite; and every storyteller’s tale raised much-needed funds for the Center for the Arts at Kayenta.
If you missed the performance or just want to relive the magic, please check out the updated Coyote Tales website @ http://coyotetalesstories.com and click the archive link. Once there, you can listen to the April 21st performance or hear past shows. Let us know what you think.
We are looking forward to our next event, slated for October 19, 2018. For this event we return to our traditional open-mic format. The theme is, “Right place, right time.” If you are interested in getting on stage, please contact Victoria through our website. And while you are there, get some tips and tricks for telling your own great story. We’ve got some fantastic storytellers already signed up but we’d love to see you on The Coyote Tales stage.

We were contacted by BMW this year as their advertising agency found out about Kayenta through our website. They wanted a beautiful southwest desert landscape to showcase the new BMWX5 and thought Kayenta and one of our beautiful homes would be the perfect place to do it. Listing your home with Kayenta Homes and Properties gives your home visibility in our community, the greater St. George area and beyond.
If you follow this link (scroll down until you see the “TV Footage” video) you can see how BMW put the Kayenta spin on their own marketing.
We make sure your listing will be seen. We have the proof.

The month of July is filled with recognition and celebration. On the 4th-of-July along with grand displays of red, white and blue, fireworks can be a part of the festivities. In Utah residents also celebrate with fireworks on Pioneer Day, July 24th. This brings concern to many pet owners. Two informative websites to visit to assure we are doing all that we can to keep our pets safe and secure (especially during unusual circumstances) are Victoria Stilwell’s “Positively.com” (for dogs) and Pam Johnson-Bennett’s “catbehaviorassociates.com”. We hope both you and your pets enjoy celebrating both holidays!
