It was another successful Saint George Parade of Homes tour. We had a total of 13,492 people through our Parade Home this year. A little rain did not stop the crowds with many attendees coming back for a second visit to enjoy this beautiful Kayenta home showpiece. Matt Marten of Gulch Design and Jake Joines of J2 Construction have been creating our Parade Home for over the last 13 years. Their combined skills and efforts always create a “show stopper” home that Kayenta Homes & Properties is proud to present along with our community volunteer hosts.
Our Parade home not only stands out in design and construction, but also with our volunteer community hosts. We here at Kayenta Homes & Properties would like to give a special thanks to all that participated. Having the community involved in the hosting process takes our home to another level and brings a sense of community pride to our home.
Kayenta’s Parade Homes draws large crowds due in part to the depth and reach of Kayenta Homes & Properties marketing campaigns. Visitors know about Kayenta, what’s happening and what properties are for sale because our websites are the go-to resource for up-to-date community information.
We appreciate your continued support.
Thank you for your continued support of this wonderful community.

The Challenge of Colonizing Mars with Ron Smith
Voyager lecturer Ron Smith will explain how Mars might be deceiving us again. Despite the lofty, noble goal of creating a permanent Mars colony, it may be an impossible dream. While anything might be possible, colonizing Mars may require the use of certain technologies we do not yet have.
Grammy winning singer songwriter Tim O’Brien performs in a duet setting with his partner Jan Fabricius on harmony vocals. Featuring his solid guitar, fiddle, and mandolin, the shows cover a range of original compositions and traditional arrangements mixed with stories and Tim’s self-deprecating humor.

The Juno spacecraft entered into a polar orbit around Jupiter in 2016 carrying JunoCam, a visible light camera. The objective for JunoCam is to give the public a way to be involved in a planetary exploration mission. Members of the public are invited to process JunoCam images. This partnership has resulted in a unique blend of science and art.

We can't speak highly enough of our experience with the Kayenta Homes Real Estate team of Nancy Kosick, Steve McAllister and Jeff Sproul. We had been looking in the Kayenta area for well over a year and truly, having a local team, who knows the area, lives in the area and is so knowledgeable made perfect sense for us. Being new to the area, the team was very patient, approachable and responsive to all our questions / concerns from start to finish. They provided great feedback on homes and even lots and represented us with a personal touch on properties we wanted to pursue, providing honest and unbiased feedback for us, not trying to convince us to do anything. We found that perfect home and the process from making the offer to closing escrow could not have been smoother. Thank-you.
Only 10 seats remain for March’s Dinner! This dinner celebrates the season with inspired takes on spring’s favorite offerings. Please come to celebrate this joyful time of year in the company of good friends and neighbors around our communal tables. I hope to see you soon – Victoria

The Ivins Night Sky Initiative is Growing
The Ivins Night Sky Initiative added seven new board members at its second board meeting of 2020 held Fsebruaru 6. 2020. All the new board members were active last year on either the organization’s Events Committee or Technical Committee.
The Initiative’s mission is to improve, preserve, and protect the night sky over Ivins and our heritage of dark skies through education and information about environmentally responsible outdoor lighting, and to serve as a resource for City officials, residents, and businesses. To accomplish that mission, the new board identified a number of action steps for 2020 and will meet again next week to finalize their 2020 plan.
Please visit the Initiative’s website for more information at IvinsNightSky.org or email them at info@IvinsNightSky.org.

$150.00 2 hour, outdoor session. Second dog from same household: $100.00. MUST CALL TO RESERVE A PLACE FOR BOTH RETEST AND CLASS. Dogs must be over 9 months old. With Instructor Jay Smith: 15 years experience, mentored by renowned expert Webb Parton.
Southern Utah LOVES Rattlesnakes! A rattlesnake vaccine only gives you more time before your veterinarian must step in to save your dog. Keep you and your dog safe by training them to avoid snakes!
Is The Training Dangerous? No! As with any avoidance training, it is necessary to begin with the thing to avoid: A live rattlesnake. The animal is de-fanged as a safety necessity, a painless process that only lasts about 7 days before they grow back. This allows the instructor to safely use all three association sources for your dog: sight, sound, and scent.
How Is It Done? Snake behavior modification is achieved with the controlled use of an e-collar. This is the ONLY use of a corrective collar at Woof! After the correction is applied, the dog immediately thinks they have been bitten by the snake and will no longer willingly go near a snake again. This is followed up by lots of loving from you and our instructor.
